Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark is located in the North of Vietnam, 300km from Hanoi Capital, and has an area of 3683km2, covering the districts of Quang Hoa, Trung Khanh, Ha Lang, Cao Bang city and part of the districts of Ha Quang, Hoa An, Nguyen Binh and Thach An, The Geopark is home to different ethnic group, including Tay, Nung, Mong, Dao, Kinh, Lo Lo, San Chi, etc. Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Gobal Geopark is an exceptional territory where it’s possible to explore the history of our Planet Earth for over 500 million years through protected sites. Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark is also a land of many tangible and intangible cultural heritage, especially historical revolutionary monuments.

8:30 AM: Begin your journey to explore Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark.

Ma Phuc Pass (700m above sea level): One of the most beautiful passes in Cao Bang, winding between two limestone mountain ranges with unique pillow basalt formations created by ancient submarine volcanoes 260 million years ago.
Angel Eye Mountain (Phja Piot): A limestone mountain with a natural hole through it, surrounded by the Thang Hen Lake System — a stunning tower karst landscape with interconnected lakes that change dramatically by season.
Visit traditional villages that preserve ancient crafts:
- Dia Tren Village – Traditional papermaking of the Nung An people.
- Phia Thap Village – Famous for handmade incense using natural materials like bamboo and “bau hat” leaves.
- Phuc Sen Village – Renowned for blacksmithing since the 11th century, producing exceptionally sharp and durable tools.

12:30 PM: Lunch at a local restaurant.
16:00 PM: Visit Ban Gioc Waterfall, the largest natural waterfall in Southeast Asia and the 4th largest cross-border waterfall in the world.
17:00 PM: Arrive at Khuoi Ky Stone Village, check in at a traditional Tay homestay.
20:00 PM: Dinner with local family, enjoy authentic Cao Bang cuisine.

8:30 AM: Start exploring Non Nuoc Cao Bang’s highlights.

Nguom Ngao Cave: A magnificent limestone cave discovered in 1921, known for coral and crinoid fossils, sparkling stalactites, and echoing underground streams.
Truc Lam Ban Gioc Pagoda: A peaceful Buddhist temple on Phia Nham Mountain, offering panoramic views of Ban Gioc Waterfall and surrounding rice fields.

Afternoon: Visit Phong Nam Valley – a hidden gem of Cao Bang with lush rice fields, limestone peaks, and ethnic minority villages.
17:00 PM: Arrive at Pac Bo Village, home of the Nung ethnic people.

8:30 AM: Depart from Pac Bo through the scenic Na Tenh Pass with 20 winding curves and panoramic mountain views.

Xuan Truong Valley: A peaceful area with rice paddies, traditional stilt houses, and a mix of Tay, Nung, Dao, and Hmong ethnic communities.
Khau Coc Cha Pass (15 turns): Known as one of the most spectacular yet challenging mountain passes in Northern Vietnam.

17:00 PM: Arrive in Bao Lac Town, check in at hotel or homestay.
19:00 PM: Dinner and explore Bao Lac night market – famous for local dishes like horse hotpot, fermented pork, and black sticky rice cakes.

8:30 AM: Depart for Ha Giang Province, entering the famous Ha Giang Loop.

Meo Vac Town: A peaceful border town surrounded by limestone mountains and terraced valleys.
Nho Que River: Take a boat trip or kayak on the turquoise river flowing between vertical cliffs.
Ma Pi Leng Pass (1,200m): Known as Vietnam’s most spectacular mountain pass, with panoramic views of the Dong Van Karst Plateau.
Ma Le Village: A tranquil Hmong settlement offering glimpses of traditional life and terraced rice fields.

Afternoon: Continue to Du Gia Village – visit Du Gia Waterfall and enjoy swimming in the cool, clear waters.
17:00 PM: Check in at Tay ethnic homestay in Du Gia.
19:00 PM: Dinner and relax in the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

8:30 AM: Depart for Ha Giang City.

Duong Thuong Village: Untouched landscapes with caves and forested mountains.
Lung Tam Village: Visit the Hmong women’s linen weaving cooperative, where flax fibers are handwoven and dyed with natural colors.
Tam Son Town: Known for the “Fairy Bosom” twin mountains and gateway to Dong Van Karst Plateau.
Bac Sum Pass: First major pass on the Ha Giang Loop, offering sweeping mountain views.
