ITINERARY

 Firststop – Tran Quoc Pagoda:

Tran Quoc Pagoda is one of the oldest Buddhist pagodas in Hanoi, situated on a small island in West Lake. It dates back to the 6th century and showcases a harmonious blend of Vietnamese and Buddhist architectural styles. The pagoda’s serene ambiance, with its picturesque setting surrounded by water and lush greenery, makes it a peaceful retreat within the bustling city.

Next – Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex:

– Independence Square: Also known as Ba Dinh Square, it is a significant historical site where Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence in 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

– President Palace: Formerly the French Governor’s residence, it became the official presidential palace of North Vietnam. Today, it is a museum showcasing artifacts and history related to Vietnam’s political leaders.

– One Pillar Pagoda: This unique pagoda, shaped like a lotus blossom emerging from the water, is a symbol of purity and resilience. It was built in the 11th century by Emperor Ly Thai Tong as an offering to the goddess of mercy.

Lunch Break : After our morning exploration, we will enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant. This will be a perfect opportunity to savor authentic Vietnamese cuisine and recharge for the rest of our tour.

 Continuing – Temple of Literature:

The Temple of Literature, known as Van Mieu in Vietnamese, is a symbol of Vietnam’s educational and cultural heritage. Founded in 1070 during the Ly Dynasty, it served as Vietnam’s first national university. The temple complex is dedicated to Confucius and honors scholars and literature.

Hoa Lo Prison:

Hoa Lo Prison, often referred to as the “Hanoi Hilton” by American POWs, is a historic site in Hanoi, Vietnam. Originally built by the French in the late 19th century, it was used to imprison Vietnamese political dissidents during colonial rule. Later, during the Vietnam War, it housed American prisoners of war, including Senator John McCain.

Today, a portion of the prison has been preserved as a museum, showcasing its grim history through exhibits of shackles, torture instruments, and life-size models of prisoners. It serves as a powerful reminder of Vietnam’s colonial past and the resilience of its people.

Hanoi Train Street Experience

At the end of the tour, you’ll have the unforgettable chance to sit right along the famous Hanoi Train Street — a narrow alley where trains pass just inches from local homes and cafés. Relax with a delicious cup of egg coffee or your choice of drink as you wait for the train to come by. Feel the excitement build as the rumbling sound approaches, and watch in amazement as the train glides past just a few meters away. It’s a truly unique and authentic Hanoi experience that combines local flavors, atmosphere, and adrenaline!
